Chalandri:
Singing through the ashes… Chalandri, Attiki, 3.6.2015. The “theater of
the ravine” a really magical spot, the center of culture for Chalandri
for the last thirty years, was burnt on May 18. Everything shows that it
was the local mafia who did it. From the next day the head of the
municipality (which represents the cooperation of SYRIZA, ANTARSYA and
independent groups from the left and the movements) and thousands of
citizens cleared the space, replanted trees and rebuilt the theater in
less than 20 days. The citizens and the municipality celebrated the
rebuilt of the theatre with a big concert on Wednesday night. A “concert
through the ashes”. Photo: Angelos Kalodoukas (source: left.gr)

"unsung" as in "unsung hero". (Photo: Babis Stylianidis)
